The village and its surrounding region have a rich history with ethnic diversity, and a wealth of local knowhow on farming, small-scale agriculture, and fauna and flora.

This website aims to establish a virtual space for the mountain village of Maleksa, mapping hidden trails surrounding the village; documenting the natural and cultural patrimony of the village, and creating an online hotspot of intrinsic knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation.
