The Gomedan Route
The Gomedan Route is a trail that passes through the Gomeda Rocks, connecting the mountain village of Maleksa with the nearby village of Vangelisa.
On this trail, you can find fig trees, medlar trees, and many Cornelian Cherry Trees and hazelnut trees. This story is narrated by Mehmet Coban, a resident of Maleksa. Mehmet was born and raised in the mountains and moved to Belgium in the late 60s with Europe`s rush for black gold. After spending a life in the coalmines, he returned to his native homeland. Mehmet is now 68 years old.
